BEFORE: Some of the cabinets were in very bad shape, and were very dirty. We had hoped to paint them and keep them, possibly get new, cheap counter tops until we could redo the kitchen.
They were just in too bad of shape, and no matter how much cleaning, or painting we would have done, I don’t think I would have liked them. So we blew the budget, and since we blew the budget….hahahha…… I have never been a fan of tile. This tile was broken, and coming up in several places, so it was a good excuse to demo it and put in new wood floors.

When these cabinets were off the wall, I put them on Craigslist, and I got several hundred dollars for them. I could have sold 20+ more too. You can sell anything on Craigslist!
We could not wait for the demo of this old kitchen!

The patio doors in the kitchen were in terrible shape. I found out they were an odd size and the price was crazy expensive. They were also a special order, and would take awhile to get in. I did some research and discovered you could order new inserts, so we did, and had them in just a couple of days. We bought some new weather stripping, new knobs, and sanded and painted the door. It turned out looking brand new for 1/4 of the price.

These inserts have blinds, and I like them a lot better!

The new patio door looks amazing with the rest of the white wall in the kitchen.
