Yes, we went back to St. Augustine again!!! We LOVE it there!!! Our last trip, Nov. 2012, was really nice and all, but I was recovering from ankle surgery, so I was in a wheel chair or used crutches. It was really nice to be able to walk around and go everywhere I wanted to go!!!! I enjoyed every minute of this vacation!!!! I walked all over town, the beach, and shopped!!!! I feel pretty blessed to have gotten to go on such an awesome vacation!!!!
I am going to break the pictures down to locations and or subjects so it is easier for me to BLOG. Rob, my darling husband took a lot of the pictures on our vacation this time. I was too busy enjoying myself. I will try to give him credit on his photos!!!
The pictures below are some pictures I was taking of Maelen for her birthday party invitations. Not sure yet what I will do for her invitations, but these are pretty darn cute. The first ones, dancing on the beach…
Rob took this beautiful picture of us. (story behind the picture) The balloons were for a picture I wanted to do of Maelen, for her bday party invitations. I did not know that it would be as windy as it was, or that the balloons would pop and scare us both to death!!!!! ---> Now I know. In this pic. Maelen and I were discussing all the reasons for us to never, ever, bring balloons to the beach again: Here are just a few we came up with.... 1.... the wind... 2. lil kids should not hold them in the wind, they could fly away...(the kids not the balloons) 3. they pop...when they pop they are real scary and loud 4. A picture should not be about props, it should be about the moment, and the people...
Some other pictures I tried to get are below.
good bye balloons….
More beach pictures:
The 3 of us really enjoyed looking for lizards as we would go to the beach or to the pool.
This lil guy was stuck outside the gate, and was waiting patiently on someone to let him in, so he could go back to the dunes. Gordon picked him up and put him in the grass so he would have a head start.
Rob took this cool picture of the turtle out by the lake in the backyard of the condo.
These birds were out on the Pier waiting for the fisherman to clean their fish.
Below are some people plants/flowers that were so pretty, I had to take pictures of.
Downtown: Historic St. Augustine. The first ones are some that Rob took. The shadow of the palm was my idea, but he took the pic… lol I thought it was cool that he was in it!!!
The Hyppo is Awesome!!!!! I had a Key Lime popsicle and Rob had Maple!!! YUMMO!!!!
The frogs are artwork from Mexico that a couple of shops downtown sell. I have wanted one since we started going there. I bought one this trip!!! I love it!!!
Downtown/Playground/Carousel (the carousel is only $1.00 to ride)
Fiesta Falls Mini Golf
Fort Matanzas (which is 100% free to go too, boat ride and all)
We purchased General Admission tickets, so we did not get to get up close to the dolphins. Maelen was a little afraid of them. Next time, we will get the pet and feed passes so we can go over and see them!!!! It really is an awesome to go and see them!!! General Admission is only $8.50 a person. (Kids are a lil cheaper)
Around the Condo:
Our view from our patio. (the lake)
Date night with Rob. He took me to Rhett's Piano Bar & Brasserie. Wonderful place to go and listen to the piano!!! (Jonathon Hooper was the piano man that evening….beautiful music.)
